Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Akron is in the path of totality of the eclipse, an amazing natural phenomenon that will not occur again for another 80 years!
Tickets will NOT be available at the door and a limited quantity of tickets are available.
Fun activities will be available throughout the zoo, leading up to the eclipse. The partial eclipse begins at 1:59 p.m. and lasts through 4:29 p.m., with totality at the Akron Zoo occurring from 3:13 - 3:17 p.m.
Eclipse glasses will be provided for all guests. A limited number of viewers will be available at a first-come, first serve basis for guests with sensory needs who might not be able to wear eclipse glasses.

- Training wall demonstrations
- Check out NASA Live broadcast throughout the day in Nature's Theater
- Stop by one of our education stations to learn more about eclipses, outer space and more
- Become a scientist by participating in a citizen science project:
- Eclipse Soundscapes Project: Help us monitor how the animals are affected by the total eclipse. All data will then be shared with NASA
- GLOBE Eclipse: The Sun's energy is what warms our planet, so help document air temperature and clouds throughout the eclipse.

This event is SOLD OUT.
Pre-sale tickets are required for access to the zoo and zoo parking lot on April 8. RVs, buses and trailers will not be permitted in the zoo parking lot during the event. Guests are strongly encouraged to carpool.
Tickets will not be available at the door. All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. The Akron Zoo is a rain, snow or shine venue.
