About Midas Cichlids
All young midas cichlids start off a gray color but then sometimes morph to orange, red, or even white. The midas cichlid may reach up to 16 inches in size. They are heavily built and have very powerful jaws with sharp teeth.
They will build nests in caves or crevices along the edge of streams and rivers to lay their eggs in rock beds.
