May is National Photography Month and we want you to celebrate with us by submitting your very best nature photos in our photography contest! Photos can include your family enjoying nature, animals in their natural habitat or at the Akron Zoo, and even plant life in our gardens or yours!

Photographers can compete in four categories:

• Animals - Photos of animals in their natural habitat
• Landscape and Plant Life - Pictures of the outdoors, from waterfalls to water lilies
• Isn't Nature Funny? - Goofy pictures of animals or plants (no wording in images please)
• Family - Pictures of your family or pets enjoying the outdoors (while being safe and social distancing)

You may compete in as many categories as you wish, but please only submit one photo per category. Email us your photos along with the photographer's name, age, the category you are submitting to, a title for the photograph and what or who the picture is of.

All submissions are due by May 27. Winning photos and honorable mentions will be posted to our blog on May 31. Please note that by emailing us a photograph, you are giving the Akron Zoo permission to use your photo for current and future marketing.
